Working Principle and Process

The industrial-scale vacuum freeze-drying process consists of three main stages:

1. Freezing Stage:

The material is rapidly frozen in a low-temperature environment of -30°C to -50°C, completely solidifying its internal moisture into solid ice crystals, laying the foundation for the subsequent sublimation process.

2. Sublimation Drying Stage:

Under a high vacuum environment (typically at a pressure range of 13 to 133 Pascals), the ice crystals are heated and directly sublimated into water vapor, which is captured by the condenser within the equipment and discharged.

3. Desorption Drying Stage:

The heating temperature is further increased to remove any remaining unfrozen water from the material, reducing the final moisture content to below 5%, ensuring the long-term shelf life of the product.
