South‑Korea is a core global production base for deep‑processed Korean ginseng. 6‑year‑root Korean ginseng is high‑value food‑medicine‑homologous raw‑material with huge market demand across China, South‑Korea and Southeast‑Asia. Traditional hot‑air drying destroys large quantities of ginsenosides under high‑temperature conditions and leaves limited room for product premium. A growing number of Korean ginseng processors switch to freeze‑drying technology. Low‑temperature vacuum environment preserves ginsenosides to the maximum extent and brings remarkable market premium for end‑products.
This cooperating Korean client has long‑term experience in ginseng deep‑processing and stable ginseng‑raw‑material supply‑chain. Limited capacity of existing pilot‑scale equipment drives them to invest in a new industrial freeze‑drying line dedicated for 6‑year‑root Korean ginseng. Part of output supplies domestic South‑Korean market while other goods export to China and Southeast‑Asia. Two core requirements are put forward: first, maximize retention of active constituents such as ginsenosides during freeze‑drying; second, intermittent production‑switch with other food materials shall not bring cross‑flavor contamination caused by residual ginseng odor inside equipment.
Targeted sanitary‑grade optimization is implemented for this freeze‑drying line. Chamber inner wall, trays and turnover‑racks receive mirror‑level polishing treatment. Welds are smoothly finished without gaps or dead corners where residues and odor‑substances may accumulate. All detachable sealing parts and accessories are easy to disassemble for thorough flushing‑cleaning. Pipeline layout avoids liquid‑accumulation dead‑points to prevent deposition of volatile material compounds. Hardware design minimizes physical conditions for odor retention.
Custom ginseng‑oriented freeze‑drying curves adopt mild low‑temperature sublimation logic to avoid thermal damage to ginsenosides. Our team delivers complete workshop‑layout drawings, full‑set operation‑maintenance manuals and reference‑process parameters for Korean ginseng. Supporting documentation meets KFDA and HACCP food‑audit standards of South‑Korea.
Technical and commercial details covering production lead‑time, export‑packaging, sea‑freight protection, on‑site commissioning & training and spare‑parts lead‑time are confirmed by both parties. Manufacturing will start shortly. After commissioning, the project will help the client expand capacity of high‑value freeze‑dried Korean ginseng and further explore overseas food‑medicine‑homologous food markets.
